Transfer of personal data outside Switzerland / EU and the EEA
Data from website visitors may be stored in data centres in various countries, including the United States. Any transfer of data to a third country outside the European Union that does not ensure an adequate level of protection will be carried out in accordance with the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
In addition, we may transfer, store and process your personal data in data locations around the world, such as where our third-party service providers or partners are located. Therefore, we may transfer your personal data outside of the European Economic Area (EEA) as necessary for the data processing described in this Privacy Notice in accordance with applicable law.
If personal data is transferred to countries that do not guarantee an adequate level of protection, we ensure adequate data protection by primarily using the revised standard contractual clauses of the European Commission, which can be found at the following link: https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/dec_impl/2021/914/oj. We may also base our international transfers on statutory exceptions, which include, in particular, your explicit consent or the performance of a contract with you, but also legal proceedings abroad (establishment, exercise or enforcement of legal claims), overriding public interests, or if the personal data in question has been made publicly available and you have not prohibited its processing.
Type and duration of processing
We process personal data only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the respective purposes. For example, we generally proceed as follows:
-
When you contact us, we usually delete or anonymise your data as soon as the request you have made has been dealt with. This is the case when it can be inferred from the circumstances that the matter in question has been conclusively resolved.
-
If we process the data on the basis of a contractual relationship with you, this data will generally be stored for at least as long as the contractual relationship exists.
We may store personal data beyond the aforementioned duration if legal or contractual storage and documentation obligations exist or if justified business interests require it (e.g. for evidence and documentation purposes as long as claims can be asserted against us).

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in ensuring and improving the quality of the newsletter. You can block the setting of such graphics and web links in your e-mail application.
Please note that unencrypted data transmission over the internet is associated with risks and dangers, in particular the risk of content falsification, incomplete transmission, errors when entering the email address and thus delivery to unauthorised third parties, service disruptions, service interruptions and unrecognisable misuse by third parties. By contacting us by email, you acknowledge and agree to these risks and that we may also communicate with you by email and exchange data by unencrypted email messages.

Our website and our newsletters may contain links to websites of third-party providers (e.g. social media websites such as Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and Facebook). Before clicking on such a link and disclosing information to third parties, you should carefully read their privacy policies. We are not responsible or liable for your use or inability to use or the information content and data processing of such linked websites. Furthermore, we cannot guarantee the correctness and timeliness of these links.
